If I'm correct the qr code in the video is the address of the scrambled private key, right? If so, show us the proof that you have access to the address that has an amount with a signed message.

You could make public the bitcoin address of the scrambled private key, that way people will believe about this is a legit giveaway. Can you tell us how much bitcoin you will giveaway?

This is the scrambled private key M5BfrbCq7yfvVDT2xrpfmZ4KWTNpbXJgdYHzWG8t19yMbUvsP9vK and the possibility to find the right PK is 52! (factorial) = 8.0658175e+67, so, i will keep an eye on the video trying to get the right hints to solve this.

You are correct. The QR code is to the address attached to the private key scrambled in this puzzle. Youtube will not yet allow me to embed a link in my video ( or I would have made it easier for everyone and provided a link in the video )

Im not sure why anyone would waste their time pretending to make a puzzle to give away bitcoin? But. I understand the skepticism ... Just here for fun and education.

Here you go!

I thought about doing that. BUT really wanted people to get the views up to check the balance. Like I said youtube will not yet allow me to embed a link in the video. I really wanted to make it easy. Once I get enough subscribers I can make it easier.

I will be doing puzzles weekly. For now the puzzles will remain around this prize. Now If all goes well and we get enough people participating. I will most certainly be sharing the wealth. The more the people the bigger the prizes. Id love to put on bigger prizes. BUT I dont wanna give away all my BTC before hand :-)

Thanks for checking out the puzzle. AND Good Luck!

Thanks now lets focus in the puzzle, 0.024btc are good motivation to find that privatekey, as hint we know the key start with 5, so we can take that number out of the line and permute the other characters, i think for a moment it could be done with some bruteforce but crunch say we need 8876PB for this, so, by brute force isn't an option:

Code:
[email protected]:~$ crunch 1 1 -p MBfrbCq7yfvVDT2xrpfmZ4KWTNpbXJgdYHzWG8t19yMbUvsP9vK
Crunch will now generate approximately the following amount of data: 9994050523088551936 bytes
9531069300736 MB
9307684864 GB
9089536 TB
8876 PB
Crunch will now generate the following number of lines: 18284192274659147776

The problem I have with puzzles like this is the ease with which this can be cheated. Let's take an example, someone creates a Puzzle like this and then they share the Private key with a friend (accomplice) and after a few hours or days the friend post the result and they claim the prize. The friend then gives the money back to the creator of the puzzle and they rinse and repeat the process. <with fake accounts>

What do they get out of this? Well, with a increase in the views and subscribers, the Youtube channel owner gets income and he could share that income with his friend. <partner in crime>  Roll Eyes

How do we validate that the winner is not a friend or family member? Well, it's basically impossible and that is the main problem I have with these puzzles.  Tongue

Thanks now lets focus in the puzzle, 0.024btc are good motivation to find that privatekey, as hint we know the key start with 5,

hold on a minute, the dude in the video explicitly says he is using compressed key for this one so it starts with K or L, since the scrammed thing doesn't have any L so it must start with a K. additionally the char count of it is 52 which is another indication of it being a compressed key Wink

by the way where are you guys getting the "scrambled" key from? i couldn't find it anywhere in the video.

How do we validate that the winner is not a friend or family member? Well, it's basically impossible and that is the main problem I have with these puzzles.  Tongue
if the thing to solve is real then there is still a chance for others to solve and claim it faster even if the creator has the key! you can't verify its solve-ability unless the prize is claimed and OP explains how the puzzle should have been solved.

Im not sure why anyone would waste their time pretending to make a puzzle to give away bitcoin? But. I understand the skepticism ... Just here for fun and education.
Well, yeah, it's all for fun.

Here you go!

I did. Here you go!
Sign verified and this confirms that you are not wasting anyone's time. Sorry that you had to go through this. Reality is that there are a lot of fake people around here who aim to waste the time of the forum users.

Good luck with the project bud.

Thank you! I completely understand though. No hard feelings. Its tough getting a start in the cryto world. Between noobs knowing nothing more than what they hear. AND old heads tired of all the games :-)

Good luck

What's wrong with it. I am not good with these kinds of puzzles that is why it is educating me since I can read the ways or solutions people that can crack the puzzle. If you are not interested, you can read other threads. Hope these wise men can crack the puzzle tho. Im rooting for you all, and hope you can update this thread regularly.

Tongue

The only solution here is for you to get your ass crackin and let everyone know its real :-)

If I really wanted to "take the prize away" Im not sharing with a buddy ;-)

BUT the goal is to get more youtube subscribers ( thats why youtube exists IMO ) ... Like I said the bigger the channel, the bigger the prizes. I hope to educate myself and new users with the channel as well. Lots of people in my area still believe bitcoin is fake money. AND unfortunately there are a lot of bad actors in crypto. BUT they exist everywhere in life. They just choose to use real money now :-)

Good luck!

Solving puzzles isnt for everyone. It does take some thought and creativity. Thanks for your input :-)

Trading Bitcoin really isnt the point of Bitcoin, but who am I?
